He has a VERY amazing gun that can achieve insane damage if you find alpha and omega bullet items (as it is the first AND last shot), and the dog can find health, keys and armor that greatly save you of your lucky Convict is a hard character but extremely rewarding. She has very bad guns but her passive gives her a damage boost if shes hit which can turn the tide of any gunfight immediately 1 Cactus User Info: Knighthawk X Knighthawk X 4 years ago 3 Theyre used to unlock new guns and items that you can find in the gungeon. Somewhere on the second floor, you should find a room with a locked cell containing a giant robot and a girl. Once you find the key, go back to the cell, unlock the door, and speak to them. Its a shop where, as I said, you can use the currency to unlock new guns and items to find in the Gungeon. As for a preferred character, everyone has a different playstyle, but I really like the Pilot and the Marine. The Pilot has a lock-pick which can open chests, although theres a chance it can fail, in which case the chest will become permanently locked, even if you have a key. Still, the majority of the time, its worked for me, and its invaluable when you dont have any keys. The Marine has better weapon accuracy, reload time, and starts with an extra piece of armour. If youre finding the difficulty a bit much, Id suggest that you start with the Marine, and then experiment with the others when you improve. Keep at it; once you get a rhythm, the game becomes incredibly addicting. Next to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, this is one of my absolute favourite rogue-like shooters. The Master Sword he retrieves, keeping the Knights line true. ![]() D User Info: EXBortthog EXBortthog 4 years ago 5 No because I got hit as Marine and still got Master Chamber 1 1 Cactus User Info: IamI3rian IamI3rian 4 years ago 6 Ill have to test that more, but Im certain I already have. It doesnt work that way for any other character, and that seems like a huge advantage, especially if you stack armor. D User Info: EXBortthog EXBortthog 4 years ago 7 It only works for his base armor point. Anything past that counts towards getting hit Its also worth noting Blood Sacrifices dont count, and I just beat Ammoconda for Chamber 2, although sadly I burnt my 1 freebie damage doing it: 1 Cactus.
